Faculty Speaker Series: SJA Faculty Molly Shepley and Florian Rexhepi '03


English department faculty member Molly Shepley and Dean of International Students, Florian Rexhepi '03 will speak about race and diversity on Monday, October 16, at 7:00 p.m. in the Mayo Center.


SJA's Faculty Speaker Series welcomes English department faculty member Molly Shepley and Dean of International Students, Florian Rexhepi '03 on Monday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mayo Center. Molly and Florian will speak about race and diversity.

Molly Shepley is in her second year of teaching at the Academy. Previously she taught in a school district near Ferguson, Missouri. Molly has a B.A. from King's College, an MSW from Boston College, and an MST from Pace University.

Florian Rexhepi is a former SJA boarding student from Macedonia. As a child, he experienced discrimination in his homeland. He was a participant in Seeds of Peace (a youth organization formed to bridge divisions among people). Florian graduated from Brandeis University and has an advanced degree from the School of International Training.

Assistant Headmaster for Academics, Jeff Burroughs, said, "Florian and Molly have done a great job beginning these important conversations with our school community, and I am looking forward to their talk."
