SJA's Faculty Speaker Series welcomes a special guest speaker: Dr. Craig Dreisbach, an orthopedic surgeon at NVRH. On Monday, October 9, at 7:00 p.m. in the Library at Mayo Center, Dr. Dreisbach will give a talk entitled, "On the Shoulders of Giants". He will speak about orthopedics, current diagnostic trends, and gene modification using the CRISPR tool to edit DNA.
Dr. Craig Dreisbach is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Chair of the Department of Surgery at Northern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. He earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where he was also elected Chief Resident. Dr. Dreisbach has been practicing in St. Johnsbury for more than thirty years. He has a special interest in hand surgery, sports injuries, and joint surgeries. He also enjoys playing competitive tennis and speaks multiple languages, including Spanish.
