Chapel—The Daily Bulletin

Chapel each morning brings the entire Academy community together—Freshmen in South Church and Upperclassmen in Fuller Hall. This long-standing tradition allows faculty and students alike to set a positive tone for the day, to learn of recent student and faculty accomplishments, to hear announcements, to start the day with an inspirational message, and to experience a sense of community.

The experiences that we share in Chapel are lessons in empathy and compassion. Through "chapel talks," students and staff invite us to see into a chapter of their lives and use the power of their message to help us open our eyes to the different challenges that we face.  In Chapel, we support each other. We applaud the successes of our sports teams, we celebrate birthdays, we mourn losses whether to our community or the outside world, and we share viewpoints. Coming together for Chapel reminds us that we all belong to the Academy community.
