What Endures

When Cathy Judd-Stein '78 was a sophomore, she froze. She was in the middle of an extemporaneous debate with a senior, and when he asked her a question during cross-examination, she had no answer.  Maybe she hadn't prepared well enough; maybe, despite the fact that she had been on stage for Academy Theater, she just got stage fright. But for whatever reason, she choked. Right there on Fuller Hall stage in front of the entire student body. When the debate ended, she slunk back to her seat toward the back of the hall and slumped in her chair.
