Celebrating Our Demisemiseptcentennial

In January 1842, Joseph Fairbanks wrote to his brother-in-law Samuel Taylor, who was Principal of Phillips Andover Academy, with a question. The answer would shape the history of education in Vermont and beyond: "We have in contemplation the establishment of a high school in this place, and I wish to consult you in regard to a teacher..."

SJA Collaborates with Kingdom All Stars on Year-End Show

 

St. Johnsbury Academy has collaborated with Kingdom All Stars (KAS) to help produce the group's most ambitious New Year's Eve production yet. The concert will be held during First Night North in St. Johnsbury at Fuller Hall on December 31 at 5:00 p.m.

Cathy Miles Grant's and Jim Callanan's French 2 classes have been exploring the presence of French language and culture in our region, with a particular focus on the French Canadian heritage of St. Johnsbury. Students conversed with visiting community members, shared pouding chômeur (baked by French 2 students) and tourtières (baked by Culinary I students), and sang French songs.
