"Small Things with Great Love"

 

September 11 is always a powerful day for me. 2001 was my first year as headmaster, and I will never forget coming out of my classroom and Karen Aldredge telling me that I should get someplace where I could watch the news because a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. I rushed home, and I turned on the television just before the second plane hit. Like everyone else, I was stunned and outraged as the details of the terror attack—and the stories from DC and Pennsylvania—became clearer.
