Coaches

  • Head Coach

Coach Langmaid has been coaching Track and Cross Country for over 25 years. He is USATF Level 2 certified and has coached youth track as well as high school. He has spent his entire career as a science teacher and coach at St. Johnsbury Academy.

  • Coach Boisseau has assisted with XC for over ten years and has been closely connected with the program since his sons ran in the 80s and 90s. Mr. Boisseau is now retired after 18 years at the Academy. He continues to look forward to each coming fall and the fun of working with the cross country runners and coaches.

  • Mrs. Hemond has been a coach at the Academy for over 20 years.  She started out as a track assistant working with sprinters and relay runners, serving for a time as the Head Girls Track coach. Mrs. Hemond joined the faculty in 2001, and has been involved with the XC program throughout that time.  She lives in Burke with her husband and two children.

  • Coach Jolliffe joined the Academy in 2007. In addition to his role as an assistant XC and track & field coach, he also serves as the Chair of the English Department, and the Director of the Academy’s AP Institute.  He enjoys coaching in the Academy community, spending his spare time with family in the great outdoors, and running the back roads of Vermont (very slowly).
