Welcome from Headmaster

Welcome Academy alumni! As the twenty-fifth headmaster of the Academy, I am pleased you have chosen to stay in touch and check up on your alma mater through our website. Our numerous facilities, which include the Charles Hosmer Morse Center for the Arts, the Mayo Center, and playing fields are evidence that the Academy is a place on the move. More importantly, these facilities and the associated programs continually provide new opportunities for our students. I hope this website will provide you with added opportunities to stay in touch with what's going on here and rekindle or maintain those friendships you formed at the Academy. Our sense of community continues to be a key part of our mission and identity, and that sense of community need not end upon leaving the Academy.

As a group, you span the globe and have enriched the lives of generations of our students through your gifts and donations. My own children have benefited from the Academy tradition of those who came before provide for those who will come after.

Once again, welcome. Enjoy your tour around this site, and share your latest news with your friends both here and abroad. I encourage you to stop by and say hello whenever you are in the area. Strong personal relationships make for a strong alumni and, ultimately, a strong Academy.

Many of our alumni have really appreciated the the video below. We think it’s the unique musical treatment of the Alma Mater combined with glimpses of the kind of campus life they once experienced during their years at SJA.

Take a look, share it, and enjoy!

Video: Fall at SJA

St. Johnsbury Academy shines in the fall!
Our academics, arts, and sports programs highlight a magical time of year on campus during which the amazing enthusiasm of our students brings our community even closer together.

The music for the Fall at SJA video is the result of Eva Yi’s Senior Capstone project, a remix of our Alma Mater. SJA Filmmaking teacher Alex Shea was the videographer.

This video is the first of a series!
Stay tuned for winter and spring videos, which will be posted here in the coming months.
